The Fallacy of WTTT
Imagine that we have a goal or a dream, something we say we want. Then, we put conditions around allowing us to achieve that goal. Those conditions are meant to motivate us to pursue, to get up of our bums and do something.
Empowerment
I was having a conversation with a client a week or so after her appointment and image reveal and she said it was beautiful that I empowered her to see herself differently. That touched me, I love the feeling that I could be a part of someone’s healing journey. But afterward, I thought back over the conversation and something didn’t quite sit right with me.
I have a confession to make
Recently I ran a local model call for plus-sized curvy ladies. Five beautiful souls took a brave and bold step for themselves. They agreed to model for me for a reduced session fee in exchange for images that I can use for my gallery and adverts etc. This is a standard practice among photographers of all genres to help build a portfolio and hone skills.Look left, this is one of those amazing ladies
Boudoir isn’t (just) about pretty pictures
I think there is a common misconception that boudoir photography is all about “sexy“ (sexy is not a word I would ever use with my clients) scantily clad photos to share with a partner. And while there may be some truth in there, it’s just one aspect of the impact of booking an experience. To me, experience is the key word. So let’s look at the stages.
